A better writing workflow

Reach the word count with real development, not filler

When an essay is under the word count, the usual fix is padding: longer phrases, repeated points and empty transitions. Readers and graders notice. The Length Booster expands your existing ideas instead: it explains claims more fully, develops examples you already have and adds transitions, without inventing new facts or sources.

01

Three ways to expand

Choose the expansion type that matches what the draft is missing.

  • Make longer: develops the existing paragraphs more fully.
  • Continue: writes the next part of the draft in the same direction.
  • Explain: unpacks claims, terms and steps the reader may not follow.
  • Set a target word count (50–5,000) and a standard, academic or natural tone.
02

Illustrative example

Before (21 words): “Remote work improves productivity because employees have fewer distractions and more control over their schedules.” Explained: the expanded version would separate the two reasons, say what kind of distractions are reduced, and note when schedule control helps and when it does not. Any evidence still has to come from your own sources.

03

Check the expanded draft

Longer is only better if it is still accurate and on topic.

  • Every new sentence supports the paragraph’s point.
  • No statistics, studies or quotes appear that you did not supply.
  • The essay does not repeat the same idea in different words.
  • Your thesis and conclusion still match the body.
04

When to write it yourself

If a section is short because the argument is thin, the best addition is your own: a new piece of evidence, a counterargument or an example from the reading. Use the Outline Generator or Thesis Statement Generator to find what is missing first.

Essay Length Booster FAQ

Will it make up new facts?

It is instructed to expand existing ideas without new factual claims. Still, check every added sentence and remove anything you cannot support with your sources.

What is Continue writing?

Continue adds the next part of the draft, following its direction and tone. It is useful when a section stops early, but review whether the new part says what you intend.

Can I set an exact word count?

You can set a target between 50 and 5,000 words. The result aims for about that length; check the count with the Word Counter.

Is using a length booster allowed for assignments?

That depends on your course policy on AI assistance. Check the rules and disclose AI use where required.

What is the difference from the Essay Expander?

They use the same expansion options and rules. Use whichever page you found first; set a target word count when length is the main goal.

Expand one thin paragraph

Start with the shortest paragraph, choose Explain, and check that every addition supports its point.
